Description
Dr Izzeldin Mohamed Osman is the chairman of the newly established Council for Computer Systems Professions. He was: Vice-chancellor of Sudan University of Science and Technology (1994 – 2002);Coordinator of Computer Studies at the School of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Khartoum and full professor of computer science, California State University. Professor Izzeldin Osman supervised over thirty PhD theses in computer science and information technology in University of Khartoum, Sudan University of Science and Technology and other universities in Sudan and abroad He has been the chairman of the Sudanese Higher Education Committee for computer Studies for over fifteen years. On the international level he is active in the UNESCO Information for All Program (IFAP), UN ICT Taskforce, the World Summit Award, the ACM and IST-Africa. Professor Osman got his BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Khartoum, his MSc and PhD in Computer Science from the universities of Bradford and Durham , UK receptively.
