University of Medical Sciences and Technology (Kartoum) – Indian Embassy

As part of the celebrations of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” the Embassy of India, Khartoum organized an Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) event on September 24, 2022 at Kanon Hotel, Khartoum.

The event titled “ITEC Scholarships: Impact and Success Stories” was organized to further popularize ITEC Programme among Sudanese nationals. The event was attended by more than 60 officials from the different Ministries, Universities, Private Organizations and Media Representatives of the Republic of Sudan

Hon. Federal Minister of Industry H.E. Mrs. Batoul Abbas Awad attended the event as the Chief Guest. The event was inaugurated by lighting of the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest and Secretary General of National Council for Training Mr. Kamal Aldin Mohammed Abuamana along with Ambassador of India and his spouse.

Hon. Minister shared her experience as an ITEC alumni and how it helped her in her career and in service of the nation. Ambassador of India Mr. B S Mubarak made a presentation on the opportunities for Sudanese Nationals under the ITEC Programme.

ITEC alumni members shared their experience in India and briefed the audience on how the courses benefitted them in their respective fields of work.
