Khalid Abuali is an experienced multimedia systems manager and senior project manager, currently working as Broadcast Technology Consultant for Mediacast International in UK, and Academy Trainer at ASBU (Arab States Broadcasting Union) in Tunis. During 2007 and 2008 he was instrumental in the delivery and successful launch of the Arabic TV news service for the BBC World Service in London, which integrates television, radio and online content into a single production workflow. Also he was involved in the launch of many broadcast channels, and worked with many broadcast systems integrators, including providing training and project management on asset management, media migration and the digitisation of legacy formats and archives. In 2005 he was nominated to join a UNESCO committee on the subject of media digitisation. He is a graduate in product design from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, with masters degree in product technology from Bournemouth University.
