Description

Mohamed Deifallah Yousif graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Khartoum in 2009. Registered with Sudanese Medical Council in 2010 then worked in different pharmacies in Khartoum state and other states. Moved to UK in 2012. Obtained a PhD from University of Nottingham in 2017, in a project tilted C. elegans as a model organism for nanoparticle's testing, where the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans was  used to test and validate different types of nanoparticles, used for sensing biomaterials and delivery of drugs. In 2018, worked in a pharmaceutical industry and gained some experience on manufacturing of pharmaceutical products. In 2019 started a new job as post-doctoral research associate at School of Pharmacy, University College London (University of London), United Kingdom, also as a visiting scientist at National Institute for Biologicals Standardisation and Control (NIBSC). In this position, delivery of vaccines (Group-B streptococcus vaccine) through the sublingual route (under the tongue) was investigated on mice animal model. Currently working at the same institute, on a Covid-19 related project, where a new Covid-19 candidate vaccine is being tested at pre-clinical settings. Also, currently collaborating with The Central Laboratory (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research), Federal Ministry of Health, Institute of Endemic Diseases and Faculty of Pharmacy U of K in Sudan, in Covid-19 related projects.
